10-Day, 10-Zone Spring Cleaning Checklist

Break your spring cleaning into manageable zones and tasks over 10 days. Each day, focus on one area of your home to clean and organize. By the end, you’ll have a refreshed space!


Day 1: Zone 1 - Entryway & Hallways

  • Sweep or Vacuum floors and wipe down any baseboards.

  • Dust & Clean light fixtures, mirrors, and any wall art.

  • Wipe Down Doors & Handles for smudges or fingerprints.

  • Organize Shoes & Coats in entryway closets or racks. Donate items you no longer use.


Day 2: Zone 2 - Living Room

  • Dust Furniture including tables, shelves, and electronics.

  • Vacuum Upholstered Furniture and cushions (don’t forget under the cushions).

  • Clean Electronics: Wipe down TV screens, remotes, and other devices.

  • Organize Shelves & Decor: Rearrange books, magazines, and decorative pieces.


Day 3: Zone 3 - Kitchen - Fridge & Freezer

  • Empty & Clean the Fridge: Throw away expired items and clean shelves.

  • Wipe Down Freezer: Remove any items you don’t need and clean the shelves.

  • Clean Out Pantry: Organize food, discard expired items, and wipe down shelves.

  • Wipe Down Kitchen Appliances: Clean the microwave, toaster, and coffee maker.


Day 4: Zone 4 - Kitchen - Countertops & Cabinets

  • Sanitize Countertops and any small appliances left on the counter.

  • Wipe Down Cabinet Surfaces: Remove crumbs and sticky spots.

  • Organize Cabinets & Drawers: Tidy up pots, pans, and utensils. Donate unused items.

  • Clean Sink & Faucets: Scrub the sink and faucet handles.


Day 5: Zone 5 - Bedrooms

  • Declutter: Clear off nightstands, desks, and under the bed.

  • Dust Furniture: Dressers, tables, and any decor.

  • Wash Bedding: Launder sheets, pillowcases, and blankets.

  • Vacuum & Fluff Pillows: Ensure carpets and floors are clean.


Day 6: Zone 6 - Bathroom - Shower & Tub

Day 8: Zone 8 - Laundry Room

  • Organize Laundry Supplies: Sort detergents, fabric softeners, and other items.

  • Sweep & Mop floors to remove dust and dirt.

  • Tidy Up Shelving & Drawers: Organize laundry baskets and supplies.


Day 9: Zone 9 - Garage or Storage Areas

  • Declutter: Sort through items and donate things you no longer use.

  • Sweep & Vacuum: Clean the floors and remove any dirt or dust buildup.

  • Organize Tools & Equipment: Put tools back in their designated spaces.

Day 10: Zone 10 - Outdoor Spaces
